Today we have planted some seeds.

We planted tomato, peas, sweetcorn, brussel sprouts, strawberries, carrots, garlic, potatoes and onions.

We can’t wait to watch them grow….

We have also been looking at the year 4 and 6 dens. We wanted to see what materials they used.
The year 4 and 6 children used; logs, covers, trees, sticks, bamboo, bubble wrap, leaves, rocks and rope.
We checked their den to see if they were waterproof.

When we came inside we had to design our own den which we will be making on Wednesday. We made a list of all the things Miss Green needs to get us.

Before we got ready to go home we watered our plants and seeds.

Today we went out into the great outdoors – we have been getting loads of slugs, worms and mini beasts.

This morning we went on a mini beast treasure hunt. We had to read clues using our phonic skills and find all the different animals that were hiding around the school field.
Before we did our treasure we went outside with our teachers camera – we took pictures of all the interesting features. We then used these pictures to make our own treasure maps.

This afternoon we have been learning about bugs. We went outside with magnifying glasses, clip boards and pooters.
We found lots of worms, ladybirds and spiders.

After we found our mini beasts we brought them back to the classroom to put them together and have a really good look.
